Reach measures best with a laptop or desktop webcam — tablets work well, small phone screens are a squeeze.
A camera-based movement-practice prototype for hand and arm recovery, shaped by input from rehabilitation clinicians and grounded in recovery science. It is not a medical device and is not a substitute for assessment. Use alongside your care team; move within a comfortable, pain-free range, and stop if anything hurts.

Let's set up your camera
○The camera can see you
○Good distance from the camera
○Tracking is clean and steady
Sit comfortably, palm toward the camera, good light in front of you.
Routines and challenges record automatically once the camera is set up — Sandbox is free play and doesn't record unless you press Start session. Affected side is the hand you're recovering — both-sides plans and your report use it; camera scores is just which hand is being measured right now. If the wrong hand lights up green, toggle Swap L/R. Calibrate my range captures what YOUR hand can do today so goals fit you. Calm turns off confetti/animation; Cheer-on reads your expression to encourage you — it stays on your device. “I’m done” ends a session anytime; “Skip ›” moves past a routine step.

Reach Standard Assessment
Eight timed items — hand, fingers, wrist, elbow and shoulder —
the same protocol every time, about five minutes. Practice adapts to you; the assessment never does,
so change you see here over the weeks is real. Do it rested, every week or two; ending early keeps
the items you finished. Your camera setup is checked the whole way; items with shaky tracking are
marked and never scored.
Calibrating your personal range first (Practice tab) makes the assessment fit your hand. The camera must be on.

Download CSV exports every recorded session's trials, one row per attempt, plus a second small file saying what each column means. Alt-click the same button for JSON (dictionary built in; includes the per-frame raw + conditioned series); Alt+Shift-click for the per-frame series as CSV; Shift-click for the raw half-second trace of the current session. Recording saves the landmark stream only (positions of 21 hand points — never video) so a session can be replayed and studied. Replay runs a saved recording through the live instrument.

Your care team
Everything here runs on this device, and nothing leaves it
on its own. The loop with your care team travels with you: a clinician writes a plan on
the prescription page and hands you a code
— paste it under Have a plan code from your coach? in Practice. Going the other way,
Print report and Copy summary for your coach above turn your practice into
something to bring to an appointment.
Care-team members: the coach view is the paired
dashboard, and it needs the hosted deployment — on a local clone there is no account service,
so plans and summaries travel as codes and printouts instead.
